Call FIT - Fostering Innovation in Tourism in partnership with Turismo de Portugal and NEST, Centro de
Tourism Innovation, aims to promote access to venture capital financing for projects
technological and non-technological-based innovators in the pre-seed phase with great potential for
growth and global vision.
Portugal Ventures is available to invest 150 thousand euros per project.

Characteristics of Non-Technological Projects:
• Tourist animation activities and experiences related to heritage
cultural/landscape, discovery of new territories, use of resources
endogenous and/or revitalization of spaces of cultural interest;
• Innovative tourist accommodation or that has a direct connection with the promotion of culture or
environment;
• In the case of construction or reconstruction projects, it must have been previously
obtained the respective licensing.
Examples: Design Hotels, Boutique Hotels, Eco-Resorts and similar; Innovative accommodation (glamping,
house boats and similar); Tour operators; Theme parks; Nautical tourism, equestrian tourism and
wine tourism; Tourist entertainment companies.

Characteristics of Technological Projects:
• Product-oriented (tradable goods & services);
• Innovative and differentiating;
• That is subject to Technology and Patent Protection;
• Inserted in global value chains;
• Significant potential in the global market.
